Ripclear ( ) is an action sports focused company with the only product of its kind on the market. We make lens protectors for goggles in various action sports and we are gaining great traction with our social media and web presence overall. Currently, our goal is to continue the growth of our followers through solid content, awesome interaction, and excellent use of social media tools. We use wordpress and a number of plugins to connect the various features and social media portals to build effective content that drives sales. Strong blogging / writing skills with knowledge of SEO best practices will be important for this role because social media's end goal is to generate sales. We'll want to create campaigns or content that generates tangible traction and you'll help run or support these initiates. We're interested in finding one or two individuals who can focus on blogging guides, updates, reviews, or work on website copy. Depending on your skill sets and available time, we can set a schedule and the scope of work so we can effectively run the blogging of Ripclear. Work will be mixed with limited in-person working in NYC and a high percentage of remote work via google hangouts or skype. We are looking to find individual(s) to help for the next 3-6 months and they can be part or full-time. There is the possibility for a longer term role at the end of the period which will be based strictly on results. If you're hungry this is the place for you! Ripclear Social Media Pages As for our tech: Our lens protectors apply to a lens in a similar way a screen protector for a phone is applied. We've specialized our product for the ski and snowboard market but have or will have products in other sports so this summer we will start working on those initiatives. How to apply video: Key Responsibilities As our Digital Marketing Intern, you will have the opportunity to fine-tune your social media skills and professional experience through the following duties: Develop B2C and B2B marketing programs that will drive traffic and conversion with focus on evolving segmentation strategies, telling relevant product messages and encouraging engagement with the brand. Work closely with Product and Sales goals to bring ideas to life online that contribute to Ripclear's Brand position and ecommerce goals. Contribute to Ripclear's ongoing assessment and optimization of site performance and goals. Stay close to analytics reports; draw insights from available data. Creating Content - Images, posts, 500 word blog posts, etc. Scheduling posts to the appropriate social media channels or individuals running channels (twitter / instagram). Monitoring social communities and promptly responding to any audience interaction. Working with the team to build and maintain strategic partnerships with relevant organizations. Researching and making recommendations for relevant content to share to each social media channel. Helping trigger sales and brand awareness for sales. (after all we are trying to sell products) Minimum Qualifications At Ripclear, we hire for culture and train for skills. Because this is an entry-level position, no prior experience is required--however, there are a few basic qualifications and characteristics we look for in all of our employees: Have a basic interest in skiing or snowboarding and know the space. You've got a firm grasp on grammar and spelling, with superior writing skills that would challenge Kafka, Whitman and Orwell themselves. Okay, maybe not that good, but you get the point. You're a stellar communicator who can express a complex thought in 140 characters or less while also being able to write longer guides, essays, or simple 500 word blog posts. You're a self-starter who can work both autonomously and collaboratively, who can start a project with little or no direction and see it through to the end, and who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment. You've got a passion for learning and improving your skills whenever and wherever possible. You're enthusiastic, agile, honest and always willing to help out wherever you're needed. You have a basic working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Vimeo. A degree in marketing, communications or other related fields is preferred, but not required. Knowledge of wordpress blogging with basic understanding of SEO best practices. Hours & Compensation 20 minimum - 40 hours maximum per week, with the potential to grow into a full-time position Great for part-time experience and flexible working schedule with other job. Majority of remote working via Google Hangouts
