HPH restaurant group is looking for a Sous Chef for one of its location, Harry s caf & steak. This is a great opportunity for someone that wants to move up from cook to sous chef, there is plenty of room for growth within the company. We have multiple outlets, that offer different food from farm to table to casual bar and banquets. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow at one of New York s oldest hotspots. It s a five-day work week, duties and requirements as followed.

Assist the Executive Chef in the supervision and coordination of all phases of work for all cooks in the kitchen
Help ensure that the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout the kitchen and restaurant.
Supervise and participates in all food handling including preparation, cost, quality, quantity, portion control, inventories, menu planning and recipes

Strong coaching skills and team building experience necessary.

Minimum 5 years cook experience in a high-Volume Restaurant under an established Chef
Strong Knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
Food Handlers Certificate

Ability to work an open schedule; i.e. mornings, nights, weekends & holidays.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize tasks in a deadline driven,environment.
Must be organized, self-motivated, and proactive with a strong attention to detail.
