Continuous Improvement Manager - Division Role

Work with fasteners and its application for the aerospace, automotive, energy, , or industrial sectors. Oversee/Lead manufacturing engineering processes and procedures, quality assurance (QA) measures, and continuous improvement and risk mitigation initiatives. Liaise with internal stakeholders, outside suppliers, and manufacturing engineers to ensure project goals and targets are met. Identify and implement manufacturing process improvements to reduce costs, achieve operational targets, and improve customer satisfaction. Define QA issues within manufacturing engineering process; analyze root cause defects and recommend changes. Develop targeted process improvement plans and explain data conclusions and recommendation results to Management Team. Oversee machine performance and reliability. Estimate and submit proposals, and execute capital equipment projects. Maintain cost control and timely delivery. Design, develop, and execute Factory Acceptance Test protocols, and validate capital projects. Manage multiple critical projects simultaneously within tight deadlines. Analyze business metrics with reports from ERP System; create new reports to support business outlook. Interface with vendors, specify technical requirements, and negotiate best pricing. Develop, review, and revise Theory of Constraint lines. Mentor and train new engineering staff and support training for new Machine Operators (approx. team of 4).

3 Years experience in each of the following: 1) Working with fasteners and fastener application for the aerospace, automotive, energy, medical or industrial sectors; 2) Working within large-scale complex manufacturing environment, organization, or group of companies, with revenues greater than $500 million; 3) Implementing Cost Reduction, Continuous Improvement and reducing poor quality related costs within the manufacturing engineering process; 4) Working with an ERP system like SAP, Syteline or similar.

2 Years experience in each of the following: 5) applying quality assurance system measures to meet risk mitigation initiatives; 6) Mentoring and training a team of 2-4 Quality Personnel and Process Engineers

1 Year of experience in each of the following: 7) Designing new technical systems requirements using Theory of Constraints lines; 8) Managing Capital projects greater than $300,000; 9) Negotiating pricing with external vendors: and 10) applying thread roll die manufacturing process.

Education Required: Master's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or closely related field (foreign equivalent accepted).

Experience: 3 Years experience as a Quality Control Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Project Engineer, Supplier Quality Leader or similar position. All experience, skills, and requirements may be gained concurrently. Employer will conduct background check prior to hire.

Travel required: 3% international and 45% domestic travel to the following PCC locations (and potential future other PCC locations): Canton, MI, Valencia, CA; Waukesha, WI; and Niskayuna, NY - to review manufacturing processing/procedures; 1-3 PCC locations per month, 2-4 days per location visit.
