Organizational Overview For nearly 40 years, our client has been innovating and developing new programs to improve the lives of vulnerable New Yorkers. This non-profit organization is a leader in proving comprehensive, holistic, and supportive social services that aid and empower New Yorkers in times of crisis. Its programs provide care for survivors of domestic violence (DV), individuals with developmental disabilities, homeless families, and other at-risk populations, allowing them to live in safety and heal from trauma in both residential and non-residential settings. With deep community relationships and a flexible approach to program development and service delivery, this leading-edge non-profit is uniquely equipped to provide solutions to the challenges affecting New York City s most vulnerable populations. Currently, an average of more than 60,000 individuals sleep in homeless shelters and another 3,000 sleep in DV shelters each night in New York City due to a wide range of factors, including poverty, lack of access to affordable housing, domestic violence, and job insecurity, among others. As the nation s largest provider of DV shelter services, this organization is one of the few nationally that also extends these services to families with pets and is recognized as the only organization in New York focusing on co-sheltering survivors with their animals Currently the organization operates ten DV shelters throughout the city, providing more than 1,000 beds for women, men, and children The organization was recently awarded a 5 million dollar grant specifically focused on the development of the Economic Empowerment Center designed to provide clients with wide-ranging services upon admission to shelter, including a comprehensive assessment of each family member s education, training, and employment history, followed by the design and implementation of a service plan that includes access to job training, placement, and coaching. Families participating in the program will have access to opportunities that allow them to build knowledge, skills, financial literacy, and experiences to promote their self-esteem and ability to secure and maintain sustainable living wages and housing upon reentry into the workforce. The Economic Empowerment Center will also provide access to training and education services uniquely focused on preparing youth for jobs of the future in tech and other industries to counter intergenerational cycles of poverty. Candidate Profile POSITION SUMMARY Our client is looking for a detailed-oriented and motivated Vice President of Information Technology to join its dynamic senior team. The ideal candidate is an innovative, strategic thinker who is experienced in providing operational assistance and implementing complex, cloud-based data management systems. The Vice President will manage large-scale in-house and outsourced application development and integration initiatives, as well as provide technical oversight and consulting to internal accounting, finance, budget, and HR systems. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with Fundraising, Marketing, Human Resources, Legal, Finance, Facilities, and Program teams to develop agency-wide data strategy, metrics and real-time data management tools and techniques. PRIMARY FUNCTION Provide oversight of all data strategy, cross-system cloud-based integration, system management, real-time analytics and reporting. Perform data and systems analysis to develop agency-wide data governance and data flow blue print. Lead a comprehensive system review process to identify and implement agency-wide Client Management System, which supports Programmatic operational capabilities of domestic violence shelter operations, collection and analytics of family victimization information, and other relevant funder-reporting data. She will play a vital role in determining and implementing operating procedures to maintain data and system governance, a database of excellence and exhibit a deep understanding of Programmatic, legal, human resources, finance and other operational functions, including client data management, contract management, facilities management and financeaccounting operations. Manage a team to create a strong client-services oriented culture, characterized by a high level of systems integrity and accuracy, and excellent productivity. She will continually strive for a sophisticated, analytical, fully integrated multi-system environment that promotes a coordinated and high-touch client, employee and donor experience, employee efficiency, and internal systems integrated experience. She has a high degree of knowledge and functionality with modern client management database best practices, and the fundamentals of client data-reference products, contract management, as well as operations of Accounting, Finance, Fundraising and HRIS systems. The candidate knows when to elevate concerns and opportunities for improvement, can lead and implement changes to protocols across the organization, and is passionate about maintaining the integrity of the donor database to better serve the needs and aspirations of all departments, and organizational overall mission. ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee and maintain the organization s client management system to serve the current and future needs of the organization strategize use of the client management analytics, reporting tools and technology platforms to support workflow and programmatic efforts. Develop and maintain internal policies and procedures to ensure the quality and integrity of the database, as well as funder reporting and data processing procedures. Liaise with senior level Legal, Marketing, Fundraising, Finance, Accounting and HR staff to lead various operational processes, reporting, and metrics to ensure optimal collection and utilization of the agency-wide data. Liaise with senior level Finance, Accounting and HR staff to ensure effective and efficient use of sophisticated applications and full integration into data-driven environment. In partnership with key technology staff, assess current systems utilization and develop more effective policies and procedures manage the SOP implementation across all departments. Develop and maintain standard queries and reports create and manage departmental dashboard for programmatic, personnel and financial reporting compile, summarize and analyze statistical and other data to provide recommendations. Create client-tracking reports set reporting priorities and establish appropriate timelines for report generation, and funder submissions, to ensure alignment of measures-to-outcomes Programmatic activities. Maintain constituent records and ensure all biographical information is appropriately obtained and kept secure and up-to-date Liaise between departments to serve needs monitor and report metrics, with special attention paid to understanding the impact of newly-implemented SOPs and operational initiatives. Manage, maintain and troubleshoot any systems issues administer information level security, maintenance and upgrades serve as agency s main liaison with key technology vendors and other eco-system partners manage regular system updates, etc. Partner with various operational departments to identify new research and management tools, assessing the needs and interests of all departments before creating formal recommendations. Establish Data Governance program and facilitate successful adherence to standards and operational principles Represent and promote organizational values to internal and external parties QUALIFICATIONS Skills Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solvingskills Knowledge of modern Client Management Systems, such as Clienttrack, Apricot or others Knowledge of HRIS and Accounting Finance systems is preferred Knowledge of Data Warehousing and data analytics products is preferred Knowledge of Fundraising, events, and e-mail marketing products is preferred Ability to interface and work well with all levels of staff while maintaining confidentiality Excellent customer service and communication skills Advanced knowledge of various programming languages preferred Advanced SQL administration skills a plus Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) a plus Knowledge of reporting packages, such as Tableau, Looker or Qlik is a plus Work Experience At least 10 years of progressive CRMdata systems experience required, preferably in a complex andor federated commercial or non-profit environment Knowledge of sophisticated Data Warehouse products is a plus Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience and proficiency with RDBMS systems, multi-system online, cloud-based integration software, and software that integrates with SQL-server, Tableau or other analytics tools, along with Microsoft Office 365 Suite Education Master s Degree preferred, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required in technology management, or management of information systems, or in a closely related field PMP or other relevant professional certifications preferred
