Reliant Medical Group is seeking a Postal Services Lead to join our exciting and innovative organization!
Position: Full time 36.25 hours per week
Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
No Weekends, No Holidays
Department: Distribution Services
Oversees the day-to-day activities of U.S. Postal and interoffice mail services. Tracks and monitors office equipment and supplies. Oversees the maintenance of mailing equipment. Handles the recordkeeping functions related to mailing services and related duties.
Sorts and delivers incoming U.S. Postal and interoffice mail.
Presorts outgoing mail. Assesses outgoing mail for postage needs and affixes postage to all U.S. mail pieces. Handles special mailing requests such as express mail, certified mail, parcel deliveries, etc. affixes postage as required.
Prepares reports and statistics as required using a computer based tracking system
Monitors and tracks the number of pieces and cost of metered mail, receipt of registered mail and parcel deliveries and use of freight such as FedEx, UPS, etc. Runs reports to ensure proper charge back to appropriate departments.
Ensures mail machine has sufficient postage at all times and that funds have been properly requested.
Processes mass mailings for various departments using sorting/folding machine.
Operates all department equipment, including mailing machine, scale, folder/sorter, photocopier, computer and material handling equipment. Trains department staff in the proper use of all equipment. Ensures the equipment is cleaned and serviced in accordance with manufacturer instructions and standard department procedures.
Ensures that the department is covered during the course of the scheduled shift, changing the work assignments as required.Provides assistance to the department staff as needed.
Notifies staff of changes in work routine and special priority needs of the customer. Ensures effective and timely interoffice and postal mail deliveries and collection.
Trains and re-trains staff as necessary and communicates status of staff's training to manager.
Complies with health and safety requirements and with regulatory agencies such as U.S. Postal Service, DPH, etc.
Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
Enhances professional growth and development through educational programs, seminars, etc.
Attends a variety of meetings, conferences, and seminars as required or directed.
Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.
Regular, reliable and predictable attendance is required.
High school diploma and one to three years' relevant experience. Valid Massachusetts driver's license. Demonstrated leadership ability. Knowledge of U.S. Postal requirements. Knowledge of a variety of mailroom procedures and practices. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of a various software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
